MRCP Part 2 exam dates and fees 2027, Revision Pro

The next MRCP Part 2 written exam you can still apply for is on Wednesday 24 February 2027. Applications open at 08:00 UK time on Tuesday 8 December 2026 and close at 08:00 on Tuesday 15 December 2026, a window of just one week. If you have just passed Part 1, this guide gives you every 2027 date in one place, explains what the application involves and helps you choose the sitting that fits your preparation.

Exam information checked on 27 October 2026.

MRCP Part 2 exam dates 2026 and 2027

The Federation currently lists the following sittings. Application windows open and close at 08:00 UK local time, so the closing date is not the end of that day.

MRCP Part 2 fees for 2027

Every 2027 sitting costs £520 for UK candidates and £696 for international candidates. The same fees already apply to the November 2026 sitting. For comparison, the first two sittings of 2026 cost £502 (UK) and £672 (international).

You pay when you apply, through your My MRCP(UK) account, by credit or debit card. The Federation’s application page explains what to do if an online payment does not go through.

Can I still sit Part 2 in November 2026?

Only if you have already applied. The application window for the 25 November 2026 sitting closed on 22 September, and the Federation states that applications made outside the opening and closing dates will not be accepted. If you passed Part 1 in the most recent sitting, February 2027 is the earliest exam you can apply for.

Which sitting should I choose after Part 1?

Think in weeks, not months. From the end of October 2026 to 24 February 2027 is about 17 weeks. That is enough for a structured plan if you can study most days alongside work, and our 12-week MRCP Part 2 revision plan leaves room for a buffer and for Christmas.

The July 2027 sitting gives you around eight months. That suits you if you are starting a demanding rotation, or if your Part 1 result was borderline and you want more time to consolidate. Waiting longer is not automatically better, though. Part 1 knowledge fades, and a fixed date tends to focus revision.

There is one more thing to weigh. If you sit in November 2027 or later, a revised blueprint applies, with fewer clinical pharmacology and infectious diseases questions and more in the large organ specialties. Our guide to the MRCP Part 2 format and blueprint compares the two.

How to apply for MRCP Part 2

You apply online through your My MRCP(UK) account during the application window. The Federation sets out these main steps:

  1. Log in to your My MRCP(UK) account.
  2. Check that your personal details are up to date.
  3. Say whether or not you are training in the UK.
  4. Choose the centre where you would like to sit the exam.
  5. Request any reasonable adjustments. You need a new request for each exam; earlier arrangements are not carried over.
  6. Pay the fee.

The Federation recommends using a personal email address you can always access rather than a work address. Your exam venue and timings are confirmed by email three to four weeks before the exam. A place at your preferred centre, or as close to it as possible, is aimed for but not guaranteed.

Set two reminders now

Put 08:00 on Tuesday 8 December 2026 in your calendar, and a second reminder a few days before 08:00 on Tuesday 15 December. A one-week window passes quickly when you are on nights or on leave.

Where you will sit the exam

From the July 2026 sitting onwards, Part 2 is delivered in test centres in the UK and internationally. Remote online proctoring continues only for candidates sitting in Myanmar and Sudan. If you sat Part 1 at home, plan for travel time and an early start on exam day.
